Our Mission

Founded and based in New York City, USA, the Association of Dominican Classical Artists, Inc. (ADCA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) performing arts organization dedicated to promoting classical music; its composers and interpreters from the Dominican Republic and Latin America. As a resident company at Aaron Davis Hall, ADCA brings live performances of classical, folkloric and traditional Latin American music to Upper Manhattan communities through a series of free orchestral and chamber music concerts. Since its founding in 1980, ADCA has presented its concerts in some of the most prestigious venues in New York City, including Merkin Concert Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Cami Hall.

Concert Series

ADCA supports The ADCA Orchestra and the chamber ensemble La Camerata Washington Heights. In partnership with City College Center for the Arts, ADCA has presented five concerts a year for the last nine years. The concerts showcase performers from Latin America and promote the music of Latin American classical composers that have little chance to be heard in NYC.

The Washington Heights Community Conservatory of Fine Arts is a space to enrich the lives of children in Washington Heights, Inwood and Harlem; communities that have been historically underserved in the areas of music and art instruction. The conservatory offers an inclusive culturally sensitive environment founded on the belief that instruction in the arts strengthens academic performance and transforms the lives of children regardless of socioeconomic background.
