GivingTuesday 2024

The Association of Dominican Classical Artists is participating in GivingTuesday, the global day of unity and generosity. Our organization hosts free orchestral and chamber music concerts in Upper Manhattan, dedicated to promoting classical music from the Dominican Republic and Latin America.

We run the Washington Heights Community Conservatory of Fine Arts (WHCCFA). This program enriches children's lives in under-served communities through inclusive, culturally sensitive music and art instruction through private instruction, music theory, and orchestra. Founded on the belief that arts education enhances academic performance, the conservatory strives to transform the lives of children in Washington Heights, Inwood, and Harlem—regardless of their socioeconomic background.

But we can’t do this without you! Not only do we need your support, we need your help to spread the word. Please share with your friends and family why you believe in our work and encourage them to support us as well!

Here’s how you can be a part of GivingTuesday:

  • Spread the word! Consider forwarding this email and encourage your friends and family to join us creating real impact by sharing what our mission means to you. Make sure to use the hashtag #GivingTuesday and tag us!

  • Donate! Help contribute so we can continue pursuing our goal and assist growing musicians.

Thank you for being a part of our team! Together, we can keep this mission alive.

Our Projects

Concert Series

ADCA supports The ADCA Orchestra and the chamber ensemble La Camerata Washington Heights. In partnership with City College Center for the Arts, ADCA has presented five concerts a year for the last nine years. The concerts showcase performers from Latin America and promote the music of Latin American classical composers that have little chance to be heard in NYC.

WHCCFA

The Washington Heights Community Conservatory of Fine Arts is a space to enrich the lives of children in Washington Heights, Inwood and Harlem; communities that have been historically underserved in the areas of music and art instruction. The conservatory offers an inclusive culturally sensitive environment founded on the belief that instruction in the arts strengthens academic performance and transforms the lives of children regardless of socioeconomic background.
